I remove those foil linings. I under...Hello Wilson. I remove those foil linings. I understand the purpose but they just seem wrong on fine ceramics, especially with the sticky foam rubber. I agree that a stopper is better. Most recently I removed a foil from a Lin's Ceramics caddy, and underneath I found the lid had a specially designed hollow interior with a hole, so that the caddy could be filled to the top and still have nearly an inch of air space because of the lid design.
